Changes to penalty rates for certain awards from 1 July 2020

Separate to the Annual Wage Review, ER Strategies clients covered by the General Retail Industry Award and the Pharmacy Industry Award 2010 will need to make necessary payroll changes to prepare for the changes in Sunday penalty rates under each of the awards, effective on or from 1 July 2020.

ER Strategies will provide updated wage schedules including the penalty rate changes (including 1.75% increased for the Pharmacy Industry Award) prior to 1 July 2020.

These schedules will be available on Online HR for existing clients, or for free download via our website for subscribers to our newsletter.

It is recommended that a copy of this schedule is provided to your payroll provider to ensure systems are ready for the changes coming the 1st of July 2020.
